A simple first-week budget
Most new players go broke by overspending before rent is covered. This plan keeps you solvent and still growing.
The order of priorities
- 1. Rent — set it aside the moment you get paid. Non-negotiable.
- 2. Food & energy — you can't work on an empty tank. Amala & Ewedu is about ₦300.
- 3. Transport — walking is free; Keke/Danfo ~₦100 + ₦5/km. Work near home when you can.
- 4. Loan repayment — Lapo players repay the LAPO loan weekly; don't skip it (penalties stack).
- 5. Savings — whatever's left, bank it toward your first ₦150k Kiosk.
Worked example (Lapo start)
On a no-gate job earning ~₦14,000/shift, a full week grosses roughly ₦70,000. After ~₦14,400 of fixed weekly costs (rent + loan), you clear about ₦55,600 — enough to build toward a business within a couple of weeks.
