Starting a business in Lagos Life
A job pays once per shift. A business pays every day. Once rent is handled, this is how your money starts working for you.
Numbers to confirm
The figures below come from community guides and match across several of them, but we have not finished verifying each one inside the game. Use them to plan; we'll badge them verified as we confirm them.
The business ladder
Buy from the bottom and reinvest profits upward. Roughly:
| Business | Cost | Daily profit |
|---|---|---|
| 📱 Recharge & Data Kiosk | ₦150,000 | ₦700 – 3,200 |
| 🥤 Zobo & Chapman | ₦300,000 | ₦1,800 – 5,800 |
| 💳 POS Stand | ₦500,000 | ₦3,000 – 9,500 |
| 🍲 Buka / Mama Put | ₦2,500,000 | ₦12,000 – 43,000 |
| 🚚 Mack Haulage Truck | ₦18,000,000 | ₦87,000 – 179,000 |
| 🍸 Quilox 5% stake | ₦250,000,000 | ₦645,000 – 2.4M |
Things to know before you buy
- Each business has roughly an 8–10% chance of a bad day where it earns little or nothing.
- Selling a business back returns about 60% of what you paid — don't buy one you can't commit to.
- The haulage truck deducts a ₦30,000 driver fee and can break down (~8%, ~₦95,000 repair).
Which one should you buy first?
Start with the ₦150,000 Recharge Kiosk — it's the cheapest way to turn savings into passive income. Reinvest the profit into a POS stand, then a Buka. Only reach for the truck or Quilox stake when a bad day won't threaten your rent.
